For more than 20 years, 101.9 WPOR ’s Christmas Is For Kids fund has helped make sure children throughout southern Maine have the best Christmas possible.
Each year, non-profit charities, community organizations, church groups and others are granted funds from Christmas Is For Kids to buy gifts for children in southern Maine who might not otherwise receive anything at all.
Due to COVID-19, even more families are faced with the harsh reality of not being able to afford gifts for their children this Christmas. While the need has always been great, this year far surpasses those of the past. We want to keep the Christmas tradition of giving alive, and help make sure no child in southern Maine is left without a gift this year.
Much of the money raised for our organization has come from our annual Jingle Jam ticket sales, along with generous donations raised from Bill Dodge Oil Changes, sold in direct support of Christmas Is For Kids. While you will still be able to purchase an oil change from Bill Dodge this year, the pandemic has left them unable to serve as many people as quickly as in the past. While this year’s Jingle Jam concert will still take place in virtual form, you will not need a ticket to view the show.
We are highly encouraging people that would typically buy a ticket to Jingle Jam to donate to our Christmas Is For Kids GoFundMe instead! Know that 100% of your donation will go towards ensuring children around southern Maine have a Merry Christmas.

Firefighters For Kids, Operation Santa Claus, Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, The Root Cellar, Sweetser, Harrison Food Bank, Kids Peace, and many more!
