On April 7th, my daughter and 5 grandchildren lost everything they own as a result of domestic violence. We are very thankful that with the severity of the situation they all walked away unharmed, very traumatised, but Unharmed.

She was stuck in this ongoing domestic relationship, putting on a smile for the sake of the children. On the night of the 7th, during an incident at their home, her ex set the house on fire. They got out with just the clothes on their back. She is now a single mother, does not currently work and is homeless.

Being a victim of domestic violence, you get sucked into a feeling that there’s nowhere to turn with the feeling of staying to be the safest option. On this night my daughter has in fact tried to leave. In this already difficult time we are all facing, we are asking for help to get a mother and her children through and give them some kind of comfort and normality
At this stage they will need to start from scratch and Stacey will be extremely grateful for anything she receives to get on behalf of her children
