I started this project a year ago when President Trump was elected and anti-immigrant and refugee rhetoric was accelerating I felt despair and outrage. I asked myself, as a woman, a mother, a business owner, what could I do? And then, I realized, plenty! One year later..we have had our first celebration of one of our trainees becoming a lead teacher and we want to keep going!
This project is responding to:
1. The movement in the United States from our government to slam the door to those coming seeking refuge and asylum in our country. Our goal is to welcome the stranger and give her a career that has the power to change the world!
2. A dedication to promoting kindness, inclusion, and the celebration of diversity, especially within the our political climate and current polices that are cruel and inhumane with women and children, the biggest victims.
3.Your support will help us continue to hire and train immigrant and refugee women to have a career in childcare and garner training in Waldorf and RIE education.
4. Finally, your support will help establish tuition assistance for these immigrant and refugee assistants and teachers to send their children to our playgarden.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
