Wounded Warriors and Families of Fallen Soldiers

Donation protected
UPDATE: Thanks to you, we gratefully reached our $1200 goal and officially donated 100% of the contributions to the following organizations: TAPS, Mission 22, and K9s for Warriors--just in time for Thanksgiving! Your individual empathy has created a rock of generosity that is rippling out and making waves of a difference in the lives of others. Veterans with invisible wounds and families who lost their warriors--including children--will be supported through these organizations in many ways. We may not know the people we are helping directly, but that's how the greatest miracles work.

TAPS provides immediate and ongoing grief support to the families of those grieving a military loss. Mission 22 addresses PTSD, TBIs, and suicides as well. K9s for Warriors rescues dogs and trains them to service struggling veterans. Out of the $1200 raised, GoFundMe received about $45 in processing fees, but our production team rounded it back up to $1200. Thus we donated $800 to TAPS, $200 to Mission 22, and $200 to K9s for Warriors. We took advantage of matching donations to maximize the contribution for K9s, so it's as if K9s for Warriors received $400 rather than $200. Thus, your generosity was doubled!

If anyone who donated did not get a chance to see the film yet, please get in touch with Michael Canon directly. Thank you most sincerely for your support! Your individual and collective help is genuinely helping to change the cadence of veteran suicides in this nation.

The CA・DENCE Team
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we learned that the number of veteran suicides in the U.S. is three times higher than the combat tolls from all the recent U.S. wars combined...we began to make a film, which ultimately became: CA・DENCE.
In lieu of the cost of a ticket, we, the filmmakers, are releasing the film for free in the hopes that it allows you to donate to veterans and their families here instead. To transfer the money to those who need it as fast as possible, the film will only be available this week until we reach our new goal of $1200–After which it will be taken offline.
Once we reach our goal, 100% of the donations will be donated in bulk to three non-profits that profoundly heal the physical, emotional, and spiritual lives of all the people they support. We believe your generosity can have the most significant impact with every dollar diverging to these four organizations.
Together, we can change the cadence of veteran suicides in the nation. If you aren't able to donate, please consider sharing, and either way, you may experience the film for free here:
PROMO CODE: VETERANS DAY
Runtime: 7min
Format: 16mm film
Rated: Mature
Trigger warning: Some audiences may be sensitive to the sounds and visuals presented here; please watch with care.
Thank you for being supportive. Due to subtle colors and sounds, the film is best experienced with the loudest sound and on the largest screen available.
Please enjoy the experience that is: CA・DENCE.
There are multiple ways to show appreciation this Veteran's Day weekend. In addition to this GoFundMe, we encourage you to reach out to a veteran you know today and all year round to say hello. Not all veterans have PTSD, depression, or suicide ideation, but it is still a crucial issue. Thus, this is one of many essential ways to honor the day.
Note: Mentioning the organization names above does not mean they endorse the film; we want to help them through action.
