Help WORTHHH Rebuild the Village for Black Mothers
My name is Tasha Lewis, founder of Women’s Oasis for Rejuvenating Therapies and Holistic Health Healing WORTHHH.
I created WORTHHH after seeing how often mothers are expected to recover from childbirth, care for a newborn, manage a household, and hold themselves together with far too little support.
I have never given birth, but I grew up watching my own mother raise three children while working, moving, and carrying responsibilities that no woman should have to carry alone. I have also watched women I love struggle during the postpartum period while the attention remained focused on the baby. Too often, no one stopped to ask the mother, “How are you really doing?”
That stayed with me.
It led me to create WORTHHH and the Heal Her Village
a community where Black mothers and women navigating postpartum life can be heard, supported, and connected with helpful resources. What we are building Heal Her Village will provide: * Virtual postpartum healing circles * Guided reflection using the Heal Her Postpartum Wellness Workbook * Maternal mental-health education and resource sharing * Peer-centered conversations in a judgment-free environment * Referrals to professional and crisis-support resources when needed * Community outreach focused on reducing isolation among Black mothers Our healing circles are educational and peer-centered. They do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment, and they do not replace care from a licensed mental-health professional. Why we need your help WORTHHH is a small, founder-funded nonprofit. I have personally invested thousands of dollars to develop the Heal Her workbook, create educational materials, build our online community, and begin introducing this work to families. Now we need help turning those materials into accessible programs that can reach more mothers. Our $3,000 fundraising goal will help cover: * Heal Her workbooks and participant resource materials * Technology needed to host virtual healing circles * Program facilitation and guest maternal-wellness educators * Community outreach, printed materials, and local events * Website, communication, and basic program-operating expenses What your donation can support Every donation becomes part of the village: * $25 helps provide educational and maternal-wellness resources * $50 helps provide a Heal Her workbook and participant materials * $100 helps cover technology, outreach, and facilitation for a healing circle * $250 helps sponsor a portion of a community healing-circle program * $500 helps WORTHHH bring a complete healing-circle experience to more women These amounts represent examples of how donations may be used. Contributions will be combined and directed where they are most needed to operate and expand the program. You can also help without donating If you cannot give today, sharing this fundraiser is meaningful support. Send it to a friend, family member, birthworker, maternal-health advocate, church, community organization, or business that believes mothers deserve care too. We cannot keep telling women that “it takes a village” while leaving them to rebuild that village by themselves. With your help, WORTHHH can create a place where mothers are seen, heard, and reminded that they are worthy of care. Thank you for donating, sharing, and helping us bring the village back.
