Worship Puerto Rico was born in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in 2017, with a mission to bring hope and aid to those in need. Now in its eighth year of service, Worship Puerto Rico continues to support communities across the island through annual outreach efforts. What began as a single home restoration project in Loíza has grown into a mission that serves hundreds of families by providing emergency kits, disaster education, healthcare screenings, resilience training, and more.

Each year, a dedicated team of volunteers travels to Puerto Rico to host community days, offering essential resources such as:

✔️ Emergency bags & disaster preparedness education

✔️ One-on-one consultations with nurses

✔️ Personal guidance from clinical psychologists on disaster resilience

✔️ Women's health support, including undergarments and feminine care products—items often overlooked in emergency situations

Through research on the impact of Hurricane Maria, we found that lack of preparedness was one of the leading causes of loss of life. Worship Puerto Rico is committed to ensuring that zero lives are lost in future natural disasters by equipping communities with life-saving resources before disaster strikes.

A special part of our mission is music. Many of our volunteers are healthcare professionals and musicians, so Worship Puerto Rico incorporates concerts throughout the volunteer week, bringing communities together through the power of music.
