World Record Tree Hug

It all started with a New Year’s Resolution-  a difficult challenge to overcome.  Adrienne  wanted to honor her mother’s strength who became paraplegic after a spinal cord injury.  She chose to attempt to break the world record for the longest time to hug a tree since it requires both physical and mental stamina.  Adrienne wanted to use this opportunity to give back to her community through and has chosen to raise money to benefit the Chattanooga Audubon Society.  She chose this local organization because they promote environmental conservation and enjoyment of nature. CAS plays a large part in helping to keep our city beautiful.

Adrienne would love to invite members from the community to stop by during one of the events planned throughout the day such as yoga, workout classes, mediation and games OR just to bring your picnic blanket and hang out!

This event is on Saturday, September 19th at Heritage Park 8am-6pm.

More information about Chattanooga Audubon Society: The oldest conservancy organization in the Chattanooga Area, the Chattanooga Audubon Society protects over 500 acres on four sanctuaries across Hamilton County. Audubon Acres in East Brainerd offers more than 5 miles of hiking trails over 130 acres on South Chickamauga Creek along with opportunities for picnicking, wildlife viewing, and photography. The visitor center houses a small gift shop and archeological museum. Also on the property are the historic Spring Frog Cabin and Little Owl's Village.
