A little bit about our story -

Hi everyone, as some of you may know our beautiful baby boy Lior-Odin was born 12 weeks early on the 27th of June 2025. He came into this world like a true champion and has shown all of us how strong he truly is. The journey for Chris and I has not been easy but the support we have received from our family and friends has helped us along the way.

Lior-Odin is a true testament to the wards dedication and the support medically and physically. The nurses/doctors are passionate about their jobs and some of them helped Chris and I daily when they were feeling low, when they needed clarity and when they were fighting for Lior-Odin's health.

Spending just under 12 weeks in the neonatal ward was not what we expected it was better. The neonatal ward and staff gave us hope and without them Lior-Odin would not be here. To give back and support their cause Chris and I are hosting a sponsored walk on Sunday the 16th of November 2025 in Nottingham at 1:00 p.m. this is in aid of Bliss Charity and is set for National Premature Day.

This walk can be done at your own pace run, walk, jug its your choice. The walk is for anyone who has been touched by the NICU ward and those that simply want to support a great cause. The NICU ward relies on donations to be able to offer the support parents need when their child is sick. It's not just for pre-term babies, it's for babies that fall sick at term and need support. Some of the things that neonatal wards offer are accommodation for parents, 24-hour access to see their babies, 24-hour dedicated nurses, breakfast/lunch vouchers, free parking, counselling, support before the baby is born early in preparation for them to join the ward, support from the home team when they are discharged and much more.

We would love for you to join us, please spread the word. This charity means a lot to us and many others and without it our journey could have been much more difficult.

Please donate on our Just giving page, we will also be be accepting any unwanted baby clothes for newborns/small babies, pre-term nappies, baby toiletries etc as these are items the NICU wards need daily. We will be personally be taking Lior-Odin to the NICU ward to gift these items.

Please donate to this charity even if you can't make this date but we hope you can. Spread the word - invite friends and family, speak to those that have needed NICU to support them in the past and donate.
