My name is Tabitha in 2018 I am taking part in a World Challange expedition to Southern Tanzania in Africa .
So What is it all about ?
Quite simply it is about community projects and making a difference getting involved in re-development and improvement of local schools, tasks may vary from project to project ranging from redecorating classrooms to building new ones and getting involved sports and academic classess , these are all things us children take for granted . It will be working alongside the local communities who are trying to change the lives of there families and there communities to make it a better place for there future genaration like us ,It will be an incredible ,challenging and life changing journey for us all staying and working in a different part of the world so different from what we are used to .
Why am I doing it ?
Here in the uk we are rather privileged and often don't know what hard ship is , school educates us in an academic way but does it really get us ready for life and what it will throw at us in the future.My expedition is planned to be educational in a way that introduces new life skills by putting me in leadership positions throughout the expedition .I will take on all key roles at different times and will be accountable for important decisions and given responsibility for the expedition budget and how it is spent , booking transport ,arranging our own accommodation on our journey through Africa and to live and help the local communities and create close bonds with the locals.
Why support me ?
If my expedition changes me in the way I hope it will get me ready for my working life and how other people live ,
this is certainly an experiance I have to do and that is why I would like to request your support to enable me to do it .
