Mullingar Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) is a voluntary group, working towards reducing the carbon footprint of the town of Mullingar and its environs. Members are ordinary people who live in or near Mullingar, doing what we can to identify actions that can help the Community to reduce energy consumption and/or find carbon-neutral means to meet the demands of everyday life. The current energy crisis and climate change affect everyone - at home, in the workplace, on the farm, in schools or in sports clubs. We can't change the world but we can come together as a Community to help clean up our little corner of it.
Members of Mullingar SEC are not engineers or experts but in order to do this properly we occasionally need to seek expert opinions and commission engineering reports and feasibility studies. While necessary, this can be very expensive and although we have secured some grant aid, there is still a projected shortfall in the short term. We'd also like to be able to continue our work on your behalf. This campaign will help us to achieve these objectives. We know there are a lot of demands on your wallets and a lot of deserving causes so we greatly appreciate any contribution you can make.
If you'd like to find out more about our work or (even join us ), please check out our website at https://mullingarsec.ie, or our social media channels at https://www.instagram.com/mullingar_sec/
Thank you on behalf of Mullingar SEC!
