if anyone knows our little family , you would know that riverbank have saved our little man’s life. We, as a family, are wanting to give back something to them after they managed to save our little man’s life and the compassion, empathy and support they gave us as a family over Christmas and new year .

we took Thomas to Worcester Royal A and E after he became unwell on the 19th December , we got admitted to riverbank with a high temp and reduced feeding , where his swab came back positive for RSV . We including the staff were all expecting us to be out by Christmas . We spent Christmas Day in hospital, and he deteriorated rather quickly , we had a head box put on to try and shift the mucus, we had airvo oxygen put on , which is a high oxygen which is humidified , that sadly didn’t work and ended up on CPAP , which is continuous positive airway pressure. It can go to 10 (the pressure and the oxygen is seperate) . We got to 8 and had the critical care team come down, his gases came back at 12.1 and they should be less than half of that. If there was no improvement from Thomas or he got any worse we would have been transferred to Birmingham and there were several talks about sending us. Thomas gradually improved thanks to the staff at Worcester Hospital .

I am hoping we can fundraise enough money to be able to buy the children’s a piece of equipment that they need and will help other babies and children.
