WOOSH! Women Only Space Mulberry Junction N15

Hi everyone, WOOSH! our Womens Only One Stop Hub was started to provide women who were experiencing homelessness a place of respite. To eat, to talk, to build trust, do their laundry, take a shower, spend time to do a jigsaw puzzle, art activities and so much more. Every Thursday afternoon, Mulberry Junction provides information and a hot fresh lunch. Guests can collect toiletries, underwear, sanitary products, physical health and mental health issues can be discussed with confidentiality. Items can be requested, and we do our best to source what visitors might need. We need this money to be able to run activities and provide travel expenses etc., to build Woosh! into the best version of itself .... Recent research data show that almost 100% of women who experience homelessness also experience violence and mental health issues. One of the most effective responses to womens homelessness has been found to be womens safe spaces where trusting relationships can be built and a new reality can be imagined. I read a lot of research on this subject as well as having my own experiences as a support worker so will happily answer any questions one to one or alter this text if you feel like I've missed something important.
