Woodson Estates 50th Anniversary!

Woodson Pool is celebrating 50 YEARS of summertime fun! July 2, 1972, Woodson opened its gates on a beautiful Sunday morning and has since been a beloved space for pool parties, lazy summer days, and our incredible Sharks swim team!

But over the last decade, the pool has been kept afloat year after year by applying “band-aids” to the many and multiplying issues. Crumbling concrete, chipped plaster, rotting trim, broken tile, ancient appliances, leaking pump and more hang over the safety and success of this pool like a heavy weight.

Have you ever been impacted by the joy of a poolside Drumstick, a rousing game of Sharks and Minnows, or the legacy of the BEST swim team in the history of all swim teams? Those of us who have grown up swimming at Woodson Pool and have watched our children or our children’s children enjoy this space know just how meaningful the memories and community formed here are. We want that legacy to be passed down for many more years.
