HELP US BUILD A WOMEN'S SHELTER IN TRUJILLO, PERU

Hi everyone!

We are a group of volunteers in Hilo Rojo. Hilo Rojo is an NGO that focuses on providing free education to families in the slums of the district of La Esperanza, Trujillo, Peru.

Many families here face a different reality than what you are used to. Parents abandon their children, women and kids suffer from domestic violence, and people live under really poor conditions.

This is the case of Carmen!

Carmen lost a child to domestic violence and with that her purpose in life. This made it hard for her to care for her other children. Now Carmen wants to turn her life around! Therefore, she wants and needs to be independent from her abusive family.

With this in mind, our aim is to build a shelter for women like Carmen and their kids. In this way we can provide them safety and autonomy to reshape their lives.

The money raised will be used for building a shelter with beds, kitchen and a living area.
