While working with the San Diego, CA area refugee population, it quickly became apparent that their needs are overwhelming. In my short time working with this amazing group of people, I noticed that women's products are not donated with the same frequency as other items. For various reasons, women are reluctant to add these supplies to donation lists.

These items are important for self-esteem and healthy personal hygiene. Families receiving government food assistance cannot use their allotment for these items. The lists below contain examples of the products that will be freely available to women with refugee status who have recently resettled to the Southern California area.

I will be purchasing items from the lists below and personally visiting women with the help of a truly extraordinary 15 year old Iraqi woman who will help translate.
