My name is Hellen Chabunya, a Malawian public leader, social entrepreneur, and agripreneur committed to building a more just, inclusive, and equitable Malawi . I’ve spent my life working to dismantle the systemic barriers that hold women and girls back from their full potential in politics, education, agriculture, and health. Today, I invite you to be part of this mission.
As Chairperson of the Coalition for the Empowerment of Women and Girls (CEWAG), I champion structural reforms that uplift women’s leadership, economic opportunity, and political representation. Through Chuma, the agricultural social enterprise I founded, we support landless women farmers with access to land, inputs, and markets, tackling food insecurity at its root.
Your support will directly fund:
Positioning of women as leaders through mass media campaigns
Training and mentorship for young women leaders
Voter education and civic engagement programs for women and girls
Community organizing and advocacy for gender-responsive policies
Seed capital for women-led cooperatives and agribusinesses
Every contribution brings us closer to a future where women are not only heard but also lead.
