Women in Tanzania
Donation protected
I founded GHTA 14 years ago and as I turn half a century soon, my only wish is for our business vocational school to continue to operate. Each January we accept 50 adult Tanzanian women into our program and offer them free one-year education in English, business and vocational skills.
Our school was hit very hard during the pandemic but thanks to very generous donors we were closed only for a few months to ensure the safety of our students and staff and re-opened our school in 2021. We changed the way we delivery our curriculum by empowering our team and having international volunteers record our lesson plans which we now use as another teaching tool.
On average, we operate on a $4,000 per month budget - this helps us to pay school rent, water and electricity, students' supplies (everything they receive is of no cost to them, including pens and exercise books) and our team's salaries. Please note that we do not have any paid Western staff as all of us are only volunteers.
I am reaching out to you and your friends to support our organization by helping me raise one month of our operating income. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
