In support of Maria who was brutally attacked by 2 Rottweile
Donation protected
On July 6th at 10am, my mother Maria was minding her own business while walking to the local store in Otter Lake, QC and was viscously attacked by two rottweilers – it started by them approaching her and growling which quickly turned into them tackling her to the ground and attacking her, one from her ankles and the other on top of her. With the help of some people passing by, they were able to remove the two dogs and call an ambulance to take her to the Shawville hospital. She will have to under go extensive amounts of surgery to reconstruct in order to save the use of her arm, and more. She still has a long recovery ahead of her which includes travelling 3 hours to Montreal several times over the next little bit to consult a plastic surgeon and various specialists. After the attack, she has been unable to work leaving her at a financial standstill with growing medical, and travel expenses.
Maria is a loving mother of 4 and sole caregiver/provider of her husband who was recently diagnosed with dementia. My sister and I who live nearby are doing the best we can to help with the travel and expenses, but it has become a lot for everyone, especially our mom. We are asking our family, friends, and community to rally together to help our mom any way you can.
We would also like to take the time to thank everyone who has helped in any way shape or form. We are all just thankful our mom is still here with us.
