On Easter Sunday, April 2020, during the stay-at-home order due to the pandemic, The Bowe-Willett Family of Woburn, MA was home and the power went out at their house. All of a sudden, they noticed the house was on fire upstairs. Fortunately, John, Kathleen, Teddy, Evan and 10 yr. old Anthony were not harmed, and the WFD was able to put the fire out.

The Bowe-Willett Family are long time Woburn residents, and Anthony is a student at Hurld-Wyman and loves being involved with Woburn Pop Warner. The house is not habitable, but it is repairable. Unfortunately they are not allowed to return home for 6-12 months.

This fundraiser is being created to raise immediate funds that will go toward housing costs for the family. Currently in an emergency hotel, they are searching for an apartment. Also any salvageable clothing needs to be dry cleaned. Lastly the funds will be used to purchase everything that was lost. They are focusing on the basics and happy to be together.

John is a lifelong friend. Anyone that has met John and Kathleen knows they will give you the shirts off their back. Please join together to return the favor. 4/20/20 Update from the family: We are overwhelmed and are super grateful for all the donations and support from everyone that is helping us out with donations, sharing our story, and other ways. Because of all the help we are receiving we were able to find a place to stay while the house is being rebuilt. The donations are a life saver right now and we would be lost if it wasn’t for the generosity of others! God bless everyone who is helping us! We can’t put into words how thankful we are. ❤️  ️
