Hey, my names Jack, and I am raising funds for The Secret Garden.

The “garden” is situated on an abandoned plot of land down a side alley in Leek and has been heavily fly tipped for the last 40/50 years. (Overgrown site)

Me and another volunteer have taken it upon ourselves to clear the site of overgrowth and fly tipped waste, and turn it into a community and wildlife garden for people to enjoy.

So far we have removed over 6 vans full of waste. Mostly plastic waste, old sofas, a couple of mattresses, a car door. The amount of plastic waste has been kinda staggering, and far more than I or Neil probably ever imagined! We have cut back overgrowth and unstable trees and had the branches turned into wood chip.

I am hoping to raise some money to put towards good compost and some established plants to help fill out the garden.

I am currently growing lots of plants to take to the site but some larger plants would go a long way to making the garden look more established, if you have any plants you can donate, even better!
