My name is Mónica, and I am reaching out to you with deep respect and hope in search of support for my family. A little over a month ago, our lives changed unexpectedly when my husband was detained by immigration authorities (ICE). Since that moment, I have been left alone in charge of our three children—particularly my 7-year-old son, who requires my full attention and care as he has over ten medical diagnoses and numerous medical appointments—leaving me to face a very difficult situation, both emotionally and financially.
In addition to continuing with my household responsibilities, I have had to shoulder the legal expenses related to my husband's case, which has placed a tremendous strain on our resources. My priority has always been to maintain the stability and well-being of my children, but at this moment, we are finding it extremely difficult to cover all our necessary expenses.
As a mother, I am doing everything in my power to keep us going, but I recognize that we need help during this very difficult time. For this reason, I turn to you in the hope of finding the support that will allow us to weather this situation as we fight to keep our family together.

Mi nombre es Mónica y me dirijo a ustedes con mucho respeto y esperanza en busca de apoyo para mi familia. Hace aproximadamente más de un mes, nuestra vida cambió de manera inesperada cuando mi esposo fue detenido por inmigración (ICE). Desde ese momento, me he quedado sola a cargo de nuestros tres hijos, especialmente de mi hijo de 7 años, que requiere toda mi atención y cuidado ya que él tiene más de 10 diagnósticos médicos y muchas citas médicas, enfrentándome a una situación muy difícil tanto emocional como económicamente.
Además de continuar con las responsabilidades del hogar, he tenido que asumir los gastos legales relacionados con el caso de mi esposo, lo cual ha puesto una gran presión sobre nuestros recursos. Mi prioridad siempre ha sido mantener la estabilidad y el bienestar de mis hijos, pero en este momento se nos hace muy complicado cubrir todos los gastos necesarios.
Como madre, estoy haciendo todo lo posible para mantenernos adelante, pero reconozco que necesitamos ayuda durante este momento tan difícil. Por ello recurro a ustedes con la esperanza de encontrar apoyo que nos permita sobrellevar esta situación mientras luchamos por mantener a nuestra familia unida.
