Early Saturday morning on March 28th, Antoinette Lewis and her elderly mother were awakened by a loud crash that shook their home. Upon investigation, Toni realized a car had struck their home. Her home caught fire. She quickly got herself and her mother out of their home. She was able to get them to a safe location before the fire consumed their home, everything they own, and a lifetime of memories. While we are so grateful that Toni and her mother have survived this terrible tragedy, ahead of them lays the long road of rebuilding everything they lost.
Toni is a staple of the community. She is her mother's primary caregiver and a dedicated teacher. In her free time, she is creating beautiful events and celebrations for her friends and loved ones. Toni is one of the most giving people we know, and now she needs us to give her that love and energy back.
As I write this for Toni, it's hard to quantify the cost of what they lost when they've lost everything. It's hard to put an amount next to a loss like this, so I am starting at $50,000, but praying we can triple that number as we come together as a community for someone so dear to us.
