Hi, my name is Sean, and I would like to tell you about my wife. Her full name is Carmen Amaranta Arizmendi de la Portilla, however, to me she was my Amy.
Amy loved to laugh and smile, and always went out of her way to help those in need. She lived life to the fullest, often taking on the biggest challenges from bungee jumping to sky diving or swimming with whale sharks in the Caribbean. She wanted to do it all. She loved to travel, and before I met her - had seen a large part of the world. I was always impressed with that. Although she took risks, she measured them. She was very intelligent and quite discerning.
What impressed me the most about Amy, is her love for Jesus. She often shared her perspective, often challenging my understanding of the world. I loved that about her. She always kept me on my toes and helped me see a better world.
Sadly, Amy passed away on November 4th, 2023, three (3) days shy of her 43rd birthday and I am writing to you today, to ask for your help with funeral costs and medical expenses that were incurred. I'm asking for your help to give what you feel is in your heart to give. Every donation counts. One of Amy's final requests was to be buried in Canada, and I will honor her request.
We have a wonderful young son. He was our first and only child, and he misses his mommy a lot. He is struggling a lot right now, and in truth so am I. The good news is that we know she no longer has any pain and is in heaven with the Lord. That brings us a lot of peace.
I love my wife a lot and will miss our moments together. She was absolutely amazing. Thank you for taking the time to enjoy this moment with us. I know Amy would.
