The things that keep you up at night…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for some people, but not for others. And as it is for a lot of children, when I was growing up, the Christmas season was the most magical time of the year. Now, as a mother, I try to make it a point to bring that magic to my own children every year with traditions to fill their memories with joy. It’s a different feeling for me now, though. I love seeing the smiles on my kids’ faces, however, it’s the children… the families… the people who don’t feel that joy of the holiday season that pull at my heart and keep me awake at night. Every year I think of ideas to help others, but that’s all that evolves, ideas… with no action. In a restless year of uncertainty, anger, tension, and unrest we need to remember to show the love and take care of each other. You do, or you don’t, and no action unfolds until you “do”.
I’m asking for your help in bringing some joy to others this Christmas season. Everyone should feel the joy that the holiday season brings. I’m putting together gift bags for children with gift cards, grocery cards, snacks and treats. Donations will be taken up until December 20th and delivered through December 23rd. I will post weekly updates on donations and where the donations are going. My hope is to help kids and families in need in Granite and Missoula counties.
Let’s take care of each other. Maybe our purpose lies in the things that keep us up at night. Shine your light and bring the joy. It’s a beautiful season… the season of giving.
