It has been extremely difficult over the past two months. I have struggled to write an update because I received many uncomfortable, negative comments on social media regarding my situation. I was able to hire an attorney office and after making several payments they were unable to help. I did not receive no meeting just calls from their office assistant. So we decided to find a new attorney office. We did reach out to Pro-bono attorneys but they are overwhelmed with cases. I was able to take the remainder of the money and hire a federal attorney. I made two payments of 2500 and we now have a scheduled court date of March 2026. This is difficult because we were hoping to get Gabriel home soon for the holidays. The federal attorney we have hired now advised us the payment of $1500 is needed by January. The lawyer has advised us the cost can be from $1500-$20000. I want to attach proof of what is occurring and if you can please share my story especially this holiday season.

My name is Isamar and recently my husband was taken by ICE while I was visiting family in a different state. Tuesday September 23rd while we were away my husband stayed behind to work and provide for us. I was called by his sister explaining ICE followed him from home to his sisters house. Once he parked they immediately detained him. He showed paperwork and proper identification such as his REAL ID we all just received the REAL ID a few weeks ago. We came to United States a few years ago and was able to go through our paperwork process. We have worked extremely hard to pay for services and legal fees to maintain our stay here in the U.S.. We came to the United States to give our two younger children a better life and allow them to grow into a better system than where we once were.

This is difficult for my family as now I have to navigate a single income for housing, necessities, and now the burden of more legal fees. Currently just to communicate with my husband I have to pay $8 every day, and so far since he was detained I had to pay $100 just to provide additional food and personal hygiene for him for a week. He currently is in Detroit Michigan in a detention center. This is extremely troubling, not just to my families but also others as well experiencing this exact scenario.

I ask no matter how small if you can please find it in your heart to donate to my family as we navigate the financial burden of legal fees, housing, necessities, etc.

Me llamo Isamar y recientemente ICE se llevó a mi esposo mientras yo visitaba a mi familia en otro estado. El martes 23 de septiembre, mientras estábamos fuera, mi esposo se quedó para trabajar y mantenernos. Su hermana me llamó y me explicó que ICE lo siguió desde su casa hasta la de su hermana. Una vez que estacionó, lo detuvieron de inmediato. Mostró documentos e identificación válida, como su REAL ID, que todos recibimos hace unas semanas. Llegamos a Estados Unidos hace unos años y pudimos completar el proceso de trámites. Hemos trabajado muy duro para pagar los servicios y los honorarios legales y mantener nuestra estancia aquí en Estados Unidos. Vinimos a Estados Unidos para darles a nuestros dos hijos menores una vida mejor y permitirles crecer en un sistema mejor que el que teníamos antes.

Esto es difícil para mi familia, ya que ahora tengo que lidiar con un solo ingreso para cubrir la vivienda, las necesidades básicas y la carga de más gastos legales. Actualmente, solo para comunicarme con mi esposo tengo que pagar $8 al día, y desde que lo detuvieron, he tenido que pagar $100 solo para proporcionarle comida y artículos de higiene personal adicionales durante una semana. Actualmente se encuentra en un centro de detención en Detroit, Michigan. Esto es extremadamente preocupante, no solo para mis familias, sino también para otras personas que viven esta misma situación.
