Hi Family & Friends

I am raising money for my soon to be 6-year-old son Wiremu who people know is a sweet, gentle and caring young boy. In my family it's a tradition for the first born born to grow their hair to a certain age and when it's time his Great-Grandmother will have the honor of cutting his gorgeous long hair.

All donations will be given to a family that is very close to my husband and brother-in-law who received the worst news possible. It's with great sadness that our loving, caring friend Dave tragically lost his life after being hit by a police vehicle whilst he was walking home.

It was never a thought or reality that we would ever face. Dave was a friend to all, a best friend, an uncle, a brother, a son, a husband and a father.

His wife Celene and 7-month-old daughter Tess have been placed in a situation where they have lost what makes them whole. Dave was their rock, support and light in their lives. Being on the other side of the world we can’t be there to physically support them at a time when they need us most.

Please know that Dave was a man who was known for his long hair (among other amazing things about him) and loved it very much. I have decided to honor Dave and his family by cutting my son's hair in memory of an amazing man
