Winterclothes for Syrian children

Hello friends,
I am happy to announce that I will be traveling to Turkey end of January 2021 to provide winter clothes and boots to Syrian refugee children. I will personally buy and distribute the winter clothes to these children.
I worked as a journalist in this region therefore I know how hard it is for these children to have access to basic needs since their families are financially not able to provide all necessary things, or they are orphans who have to look out for themselves. I am going as a volunteer because the thought of these children struggling with the cold while i am sitting in my warm home just does not feel right to me. Especially during this corona crisis which affected the entire world I am lucky enough to have a home where I can quarantine while others do have to work outside exposed to the cold and the virus. It is not a secret that these children are often forced to work as they have to provide for their families. Lets think of them and help them to ease their struggle.

My name is Meryem, I’m a 28 year old journalist, who is a third generation Turkish migrant in Germany. I’m currently living in Germany again. Since 2013 I’m doing small fundraising myself and try to support Syrian refugees especially in eastern Turkey. From 2016 to 2019 I was working in Turkey and would regularly conduct field research in eastern Turkey as I was writing stories on forced migration and refugees to make the voice of these people in need heard.
This winter especially I feel like the current corona crisis totally took all the attention, which left those in need of even the most basic things forgotten.
I want to make very clear that my accommodation, transportation and all other costs that will occur will be all covered by myself. Your donations will go 100% directly to the children in form of winter jackets and boots which I will buy in Turkey.
My goal is to reach at least 200 children, I would be very happy if you would support me on this mission. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
