This December, we’re raising funds to provide over 100 winter jackets, boots, and essential gifts for the youth living in the Covenant House Toronto crisis shelter. These young people (ages 16–24) often arrive with almost nothing, and winter is their most vulnerable time of year.
Our Goal:
Give every youth a full winter kit — a jacket, boots, warm essentials, and a wrapped holiday gift.
⸻
Why This Matters
Covenant House supports youth facing homelessness, trafficking, abuse, and crisis.
Last two years our community:
• Raised $12,000 (Year 1)
• Raised $6,000+ + received 50+ donated boots (Year 2)
• Delivered 100+ gifts
This year, the need is even greater.
⸻
How We’re Raising Funds
From Dec 1–19, runners from CURRE Club, Not A Run Club, and Liberty Village Striders are completing the 5km Before 6am Challenge — waking up before sunrise and sharing the donation link daily.
We’ll also host community wellness activations and charity events to fuel the fundraiser.
⸻
Partners
With support from:
Salomon, Sport Chek, Brooks Running, and Wakewater
— we’re able to stretch every dollar further.
⸻
Where Your Donation Goes
100% of funds go directly toward:
• Winter jackets
• Winter boots
• Warm essentials
• Wrapping supplies
All gifts are wrapped and delivered by volunteers directly to Covenant House.
⸻
Thank You
Your support gives warmth, dignity, and hope to youth who truly need it this winter.
Let’s make The Winter Project 2025 our biggest impact yet. ❄️❤️
