As many of you have heard, unfortunately Lee passed this morning. We are glad he is no longer in pain and has joined his beloved sister, Lucy and other loved ones.
The boys, family and everyone he knew is heartbroken.
Hi my names Shannon, older sister to Tyler 23 Harvey 20 Alfie 17 and Theo 13.
I am fundraising for my younger brothers whom all live at home in Hailsham with their dad, Lee.
Lee has been a single parent to these boys for around 10 years and done an amazing job of bringing up young polite and respectful men.
Unfortunately Lee has become progressively more very poorly recently. He has been battling cancer for the past 2-3 years and has had many bumps in this journey.
More recently it has become apparent that this is a fight their dad is not going to win. Lee’s health has declined drastically in the past few weeks and is currently in hospital fighting infections.
Our main aim is trying to keep the boys together once the inevitable happens and this is hopefully going to give them the best chance in doing so. They are currently looking at an eviction once their dad is no longer here due to them not being the tenancy holders and that will lead to them being split up, although we are hoping to somehow make this work with external support.
Tyler is working full time to help support his dad and younger brothers whilst Harvey is at home helping with Theo who is SEN and Alfie is currently in college and helping take care for his nan (Lees mum, Liz).
This family have been through so much over the past 2 years, with close family loses and other enormous life changing events.
Although they have lovely neighbours, a hand full of family around them and a very supportive best friend of Lee’s, they need as much support at this time to help give them some relief in this very emotional and traumatic life event they are about to endure.
They are amazing uncles to my young sons and would I would be so grateful to help them in this way.
I am fundraising to hopefully aid the boys in being able to keep on top of household bills, supporting them when Lee is in hospital and when the time comes and hopefully take some of the financial burden off of them a little bit so Tyler can spend more time at home when needed.
These boys have had to grow up so quickly and showed such strength throughout, we just want to be-able to keep supporting them in any way we can.
Anyone who knows Lee his a very prideful man and please respect this is a difficult time for him and we don’t want to overwhelm him with messages at this moment in time, so he can focus on getting a little better to get back home and enjoy time with the boys.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to read this. Anything helps and please re share.
Shannon x
