The East Water Project – Bringing Clean Water to Northern Ghana

Being born and raised in northern Ghana, I know firsthand how difficult it is to access clean water. On a trip to the Upper East Region, I watched women carrying heavy containers of water on their heads, babies tied to their backs, walking long distances under the hot sun. My heart broke seeing this burden on my people, and I felt called to act.

With God’s help and the generosity of supporters, the East Water Project was born. So far, we have built three wells—one in Bourgrigor and two in Dua Tankuon. Each well is a life-changing gift, providing safe, clean water right in the heart of the village. Families no longer walk miles for water. Children are healthier. Women have more time for their families and livelihoods. Each well supplies at least ten homes—for life.

Our mission is not finished. By Christmas, we hope to build another well in Zanlerigia, and continue expanding to other villages in desperate need.
