Imagine lying down with an exact copy of yourself sitting squarely on your chest. That is roughly what 2G-force feels like.

Now add an 80mph wind trying to rearrange your face, strap yourself to the top of a Second World War biplane, climb several hundred feet into the air and hurtle along at up to 120mph - while hoping the birds you have spent years shooing away are not bad mind and out for revenge.

That is exactly what I will be doing on Friday September 18th 2026: taking part in a wing walk to raise funds for my prostate cancer charity I Am The One In Three CIC

Those who know me may have noticed that I am a tiny bit of an adrenaline junkie. But this is about far more than chasing the next thrill.

My real passion is reaching all men but especially Black men with prostate cancer information they urgently need but may never actively seek.

They are twice as much as risk than other groups.

Through honest conversation, lived experience, humour and community awareness talks, I want to help men understand their risk, overcome fear and embarrassment, and feel confident enough to take action. Whether that's talking to their GP and asking about a PSA test.

Prostate cancer changed my life but more importantly early detection saved it.

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of PSA testing. On 13th August 2026, the Department of Health and Social Care circulated a letter to health organisations stating that the final decision on whether a man can have a PSA test rests with his GP - not with the patient.

This is a massive step backwards. Just when you think it cannot get any harder for men to take control of their health, another barrier is put in their way.

Now I am using my experience and my questionable relationship with gravity to help change the lives of others.

Every penny raised will support our awareness work and help us reach more men, families and communities. My immediate priority is my 33 in 12 campaign, where I will delivering a prostate cancer awareness talk in every one of the 33 London boroughs within 12 months.

So please sponsor me if you can, share the link with your friends and family and help make this slightly ridiculous adventure genuinely worthwhile.

If fear won’t stop me climbing onto the top of a wobbly WW2 aeroplane, let’s make sure fear doesn’t stop a man from checking his prostate cancer risk.

I will take the dodgy flight. You help me take the message further.
