Wind Phone on South Whidbey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Suzie. In 2021 our son Daniel Atlas Reynolds was born, here on the island. He lived for one week before passing away peacefully in our arms. Not a day goes by that we don't wish we could pick up the phone and talk to our boy. Recently I read an article about a project that started in Japan. Phones that were placed in parks, connected to nothing but the wind, to carry conversations up to loved ones who had passed. I would love to bring this idea to South Whidbey in honor of every loved one that has moved on before our hearts were ready. I think the Trustland Trails are a perfect place to house this phone booth, it's centrally located to the South end of the island, beautiful and serene, has the ability to be more private, and offers an accessible trail. I am working now to gain the information needed to take the first big step in this project, along with how much it will cost. I will update my goal once I have a better number. If we raise anything over the costs necessary for the project the rest of the money will be donated to Seattle Children's Hospital in Danny's name. My goal is to have an unveiling on what would be Danny's third birthday- February 16th 2024. If you aren't able to donate to this project please consider sharing our fundraiser. Thank you!
