Cancer sucks. A dear friend of mine, with a husband and 3 small kids, is in her final months after a brave 5-year-long battle against colon cancer.
And as I attempt to long run of the 2024 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday 6th October (my first), I want YOU to help me raise funds to support her family to pay for the increasing costs of hospice care.
Siobhan Nelson was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer with metastasis to her liver in February 2019. After 12 chemotherapy infusions and a successful liver/colon resection surgery, the treatment brought relief with the elimination of the cancer in mid-2021. After this blessed relief, a routine scan a year later showed the disease had progressed and Siobhan had ten tumours.
Siobhan turned 44 on August 31st, which will heartbreakingly be her last birthday. As of this week Siobhan is receiving in-home hospice care.
With determination, resolve and every bit of strength Siobhan has been fighting this devastating disease. With your support every penny will support the Nelson family.
