Update: A number of local residents have filed a complaint against the village in the Circuit Court of Cook County (2019-CH-11017 ). The official complaint seeks to nullify zoning ordinance 2856 because it was not passed with appropriate public notice and because it represents prohibited contract zoning. If this lawsuit is successful, the Village will be required to follow the current re-zoning process that includes a public hearing, evaluation against stringent criteria for re-zoning, and approval by current trustees.
