Willie Cowie

Hello, my name is Cory Fry and I have had the pleasure of volunteering alongside Willie Cowie for the past five years. Willie has been volunteering for North Bay Minor Hockey and other organizations for over 30 years. He epitomizes volunteering. He has no kids involved in the sport and no hidden motives. He just loves to help out and give his time so that others can benefit.

Unfortunately Willie has had some health issues. He struggles with diabetes and recently lost his leg. He's been in the hospital recovering for the past month and is hopeful to be going home soon.

Willie needs our help and it's now our chance to give back to someone who has given so much to our community. Willie's recovery will be a difficult one and it's hard to predict how much support he and his family will need. He will face many obstacles and many modifications will need to be completed before he can return home safely. Gofundme requires a target to be set for the campaign. Due to the uncertainty of Willie's situation, both now and in the future, we set the goal of $1 so we could proceed.
