SafeSteps was born from personal experience.

Several years ago, my mother-in-law suffered a stroke. Although she worked hard to regain her mobility, she later fell in her own home and sustained a devastating back injury that changed her life forever.

Later, my father-in-law fell, fractured his hip, and never returned home. He died as a result of the complications that followed.

Those experiences made me realize that many of these tragedies are not simply accidents—they are often preventable.

For the past two years, I have devoted myself full-time to developing SafeSteps. I have invested my own savings and countless hours creating an affordable, easy-to-use home safety assessment designed to help seniors identify hazards before they result in life-changing injuries.

I believe no family should have to experience what ours did if it can be prevented.

I don't want a child to get this call.

One phone call can change a family forever.

No son or daughter ever expects to hear that a parent has fallen. Yet every day, families receive this devastating news.

I don't want another senior to have a fall like this.

Most falls happen at home. Many could be prevented with greater awareness and a safer home environment.

A fall doesn't end when the ambulance arrives. Recovery can take months and some seniors never fully recover.

I don't want a senior to lose their independence

One preventable fall can mean leaving behind the home and independence every senior deserves.

I don't want a senior to suffer through financial stress

Medical expenses and care-giving create financial pressures many families never expected.

I don't want families to experience this.

When one person falls, the whole family is affected. No family should have to experience this if it can be prevented.

I do want safer homes for seniors.

Many falls are preventable through awareness and practical home safety improvements.

I do want seniors living safely in their own homes
