Will Gerhold's Eagle Scout Progect

Hi my name is William Gerhold and I am with Boy Scout Troop 55 in Center Point, IA. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project to earn my Eagle rank, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. I am a Junior at Center Point Urbana High School and I have been in Scouts since starting as a Cub scout in kindergarten. I am a member of Order of the Arrow ( the honor society of Boy Scouts), I have attended and enjoyed many camp outs and service outings with my troop. I look forward to completing this project and earning my Eagle Rank. A goal of mine since I was a little boy and watched my daycare provider and current Scout Master Bev Bassett help other scouts to reach their ranks.

My Project is to create a Soldiers Cross Memorial for the community Veterans . It will be displayed in front of the LJL Hall in Center Point. I hope to raise $4,000 to cover the cost of the monument, and materials needed to display it, if any funds are left over at the end of the project they will be given to the American Legion for them use towards other projects and scholarships. I appreciate any donation big or small that will help make this memorial possible. I would like to have it completed and be able to revealed for Memorial Day.
