Wildlife conservation in Sri Lanka
Donation protected
Hi my name is Liv,
I decided that during my gap year I wanted to travel and experience something new, whilst making a difference.
I have chosen to volunteer at a charity based wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka, which helps preserve ecosystems and vegetation that wild animals depend on.
In particular, I will be helping turtles and enabling other animals to become fit enough to re-enter their natural habitat. My role will also involve hatching turtle eggs, cleaning beaches, planting trees and fertilising greenery; all things that contribute to the ever changing ecosystems there.
This is a topic that is especially important to me as I am passionate about preventing unwanted global change, and making sure these animals get the support they need.
In order for me to help make this change, I need to fundraise to cover costs, as all of my time as a volunteer is given for free.
If you could donate any amount, no matter how small I would be so grateful!
I have been saving for this opportunity but with your help, the funds will be used to help cover part of the costs of flights and accommodation which I have to pay for myself.
Thank you so much for reading
Liv :)
