Wild Strides: Decisive steps towards an uncommon future.

My last month of the World Race was spent in El Salvador, where I lived in an orphanage called, Mi Casa Kids. And while my body may have left El Salvador, my heart has remained there. Mi Casa is a safe place for children that have been orphaned for many of reasons. Anything from family members dying, being murdered by gangs, experiencing severe abuse, and even being sold in sex trafficking on the dark web. I thought that I would be working with severely down casted children, but, against my expectations, I was extremely surprised when I walked through the door to a home full of the most joyful and accepting kids I have ever met. It wasn't even an hour until little girls were braiding my hair and the boys were choosing me to be their soccer teammate.

I also had the pleasure of being at the house when a large donation was dropped off. There were twenty, or so, big black trash bags full of clothes, pajamas and shoes. It was an amazing blessing for the children, but it also pulled at my heart because I realized that it wasn't very often that these kids received anything new, or something specifically gifted for them.

Anyone reading this can remember a similar time of when they donated such necessities inside that ambivalent black bag. We have all placed our old t-shirts, yard shoes and that blazer grandma use to wear with the big shoulder pads, the one which never seems to go away. Likewise, in El Salvador, it is exactly the same. The clothes were slightly worn and the shoes had already been well past broken-in.

Therefore, my passion behind raising this money is to give these children the shoes they most willingly deserve, specifically for them. Shoes that they can make memories in, and even, outgrow some day. Shoes that will help these children take decisive steps towards a wildly uncommon future in El Salvador.

Shoes may seem so small compared to all the other necessities these children need. But, that is exactly the point. If we can show them that they are loved and thought of in the small things, then they believe they are worthy of the big things. Please, consider donating your money to help us put shoes on these amazing kid's feet. Your money will go towards buying 25 pairs of shoes, transportation of the shoes, and my plane ticket to personally take your donated love to Mi Casa Kids in El Salvador. I believe it is essential that I hand deliver these donations to show these children that they have not been forgotten.

If you can't donate your money, please, share this campaign and pray for God to provide!

Thank you so much for your time and support!
