A Beginning That Matters

We live in a time when many people feel disconnected ; from themselves, from one another, and from the living world around them.
Not because we lack information, but because something more essential is missing: spaces where it is safe to feel, to slow down, and to be fully human.

Wild Hearts is a response to that need. A response lived through direct experience : engaging the body, the land, and real human encounters as pathways back to connection. Not urgently, not loudly - but steadily, concretely, and with care.

This crowdfunding campaign supports the founding phase of Wild Hearts as an independent non-profit organisation, helping this work take root with integrity and long-term vision.

What Wild Hearts Is

Wild Hearts is an emerging non-profit dedicated to connection ; to ourselves, to one another, and to the living world we are part of.

At its heart, Wild Hearts brings together emotional intelligence, embodied awareness, and relational work, grounded in direct relationship with nature and adventure as a living system.

During our Wild Experiences, Nature is not used as a backdrop or a setting, but approached as an active teacher and mirror. We engage in outdoor and adventure-based settings that invite collaboration, movement, challenge, shared inquiry and responsibility, and sometimes physical effort, always held within a safe and intentional relational container. Through contact with Natural placed, rhythms, and living environments, people are invited to reconnect with their own inner nature - their bodies, emotions, purpose and sense of belonging within the wider web of life.

By slowing down, listening, and sensing in real environments, participants rediscover a felt sense of connection ; to themselves, to others, and to the world around them. This naturally deepens ecological and empathical awareness, care, and respect, not through ideology, but through lived experience and relationship.

The work of Wild Hearts takes many forms, including:

  • Theme-based group coaching events and workshops,
  • retreats journeys and adventures in wild natural settings,
  • ongoing group practices and spaces,
  • and impactful presences in social, educational, and humanitarian contexts.

Why Wild Hearts Exists

We are living in a time of fragmentation — across societies, between people, and within ourselves. Alongside the search for meaning and aliveness, there is a growing and very real need for inner safety: the ability to feel grounded, regulated, and at home in oneself and in relationship with others.

Many existing approaches focus on performance, productivity, or rapid transformation, while the deeper emotional and relational foundations of being human — safety, trust, and belonging — are often overlooked.

Wild Hearts exists because:

  • People need spaces where they can feel safe enough to be real and fully themselves.
  • Emotional literacy and embodied awareness are essential life skills,
  • And reconnection — to self, to others, and to the living world — is a prerequisite for meaningful and sustainable change.

By supporting inner safety as well as aliveness, Wild Hearts creates conditions where individuals, groups and communities can meet life with greater resilience, responsibility, and care. At Wild Hearts, inner safety is not cultivated by avoiding challenge, but by meeting it together - with support, awareness, and shared responsibility.

This work is not about scale for its own sake.
It is about depth, presence, and rootedness.

Why This Crowdfunding?

Wild Hearts is currently in its founding phase as an independent non-profit organisation.

Allowing a project like this to root properly takes time. It means building structure without rushing, growing without overextending, and making choices that protect integrity rather than chasing visibility or premature expansion.

This crowdfunding campaign exists as a bridge fund ; supporting this careful process of rooting:

  • without taking shortcuts, or unnecessary risks,
  • without injecting unsustainable capital,
  • and without compromising values under financial pressure.

The financial needs of this phase are met through multiple channels: this campaign, ongoing applications for public and private subsidies, and the development of sustainable partnerships ; some of which are already in place and continuing to grow.

Together, these elements allow Wild Hearts to develop as a stable and ethical non-profit. grounded in relationship rather than urgency, and built to last.

About the Founder & Team

Wild Hearts is initiated by Ruben Carpentier, a circle group facilitator, authenticity coach, somatic-emotional therapist and mountain guide & educator working at the intersection of embodiment, relational intelligence, and nature-based practice. His work bridges inner transformation and real-world environments, bringing the same quality of presence to heart-connecting circle spaces as to mountains, trails, and wild landscapes.

In its early phase, Wild Hearts is carried by a small, committed team that holds responsibility for its vision, integrity, and continuity. While the project is not built around a single person, its founding phase requires clear coordination and accountable leadership.

Part of this campaign supports the practical capacity needed to hold that responsibility sustainably — without relying on unpaid labour, burnout, or urgency-driven decisions.

A Final Word

Wild Hearts is not about grand promises.
It is about creating and protecting spaces where human connection, emotional presence, and compassionate responsibility can co-exist , especially where they are least visible and most needed.

This campaign is an invitation to support the foundation of that work.

Thank you for standing with this beginning.
