Widowed by suicide - single Mom

Hi, my name is Joyce and I am raising funds for my daughter and granddaughter who are in a very difficult situation. My daughter is a widow and now single mom after the death of her husband due to suicide. My daughter will not receive any financial assistance from Social Security because her husband’s anxiety and depression impaired his ability to work enough to support his family. After 11+ years of marriage and now a widow, my daughter is told that her husband did not have enough quarters of income reported to social security for their daughter to receive any benefits. Now as a single mom left without the help of a “stay at home dad “ and being the sole provider for her daughter, she is not only grieving the loss of her husband, but also has been forced into a very difficult situation. I’m raising funds to support my daughter and granddaughter, two amazing young people who are hurting right now with so many unfortunate circumstances. All funds raised will go towards helping them start their new lives. Housing is a big challenge with few affordable yet suitable options available.

It has been a long and difficult process for our family, I am relocating myself to physically and emotionally support my family but am not in a position to help them financially. My daughter’s father has thankfully been the primary financial support during this 30+ days in our crazy journey, but it has also been a financial drain on him.

We as parents and grandparents love our family so very much and are doing everything we can to help, but we are in need of financial assistance to support these two beautiful young girls!
