Hi my name is Rowan and I’m here raising money for men’s mental health. Truth be told there’s not a lot to say that hasn’t been said about the topic but one thing that strikes me everytime is how easy it is to reach and be vulnerable to your mate for ten minutes. That ten minutes might just change your life, or theirs. They’ll know they’re not alone and will probably speak up about problems they’re having. Whether it being minute or colossal it will still make a difference. Sure raising money is a good thing but doing it for a reason that encourages others to truly man up and speak their problems no matter how vulnerable it makes them, that is truly what makes a man. A man who can say what he truly feels despite how everyone looks at them or what they feel towards them, that’s a man. We only get one round on this earth so might aswell make a difference. I’ll be cutting off all my hair in a week and the funds I raise to me don’t matter but to the foundation they mean a lot. The only thing I want from this is the message. To be a man is one thing, but to man up is another. Speak up to your mates or reach out to those who you think are struggling, because it’s a lot easier to send that are you okay message then it is to receive that message from someone else. Much love to all and thanks
