Who Steals a Damn Moped Anyway? (goal exceeded!)

If you've met Matt and Maggie Scanlon, then you already know that they are 2 of the most amazing, caring, hilarious, and giving people on the planet.  You likely also know their love for that scooter/moped lifestyle embodied in the picture above.  What you may not know is that a few weeks ago Matt was cut off out of the blue while riding their scooter, totaling said scooter in the process.  They since saved their pennies and bought a replacement scooter for $1250 just a few days ago.  Yesterday (9/4), that beaut of a scooter was stolen from a parking lot while Matt was inside the gym, undoubtedly helping someone become a healthier and more capable version of themselves.   It was so new it didn't even have insurance on it yet.  Regardless of how amazing these 2 lovebirds are, they admittedly have their faults, and prioritizing adult-responsibilities like immediately insuring their new prized scooter clearly is one of those faults...

What I'm proposing, aside from finding and castrating the no-good scooter bandit, is that we secretly pull together as friends and supporters of two incredibly deserving humans to help them replace their modest scooter.   They have so many friends and people that love them that I'm sure a few dollars here and there from the people whose lives they've touched will cover it in no time.  Plus, then we'll all own a small share of a scooter, and what could really be cooler than getting to use a scooter 1 day per year for eternity (or until the scooter dies, but let's be honest, it will likely outlive us all because most of Matt and Maggie's friends drink more than a human probably should).  I haven't cleared that last part with them, obviously, but we'll cross the scooter-share-logistics bridge once we come to it.

All jokes aside, I'd just really love to help them out.  They truly are incredible humans, and it sucks when shitty stuff happens to awesome people.  They have no clue I'm doing this, so let's keep it a secret until we can deliver them a replacement scooter.  If they've touched your life in one way or another think about throwing a few dollars towards the cause.  Let's get the Scanlons scootin' again!  Thanks in advance, friends!
