If you know Pat and I, you know our beloved doggo Whiskey. We've discovered that she has ruptured her CCL (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) in her left knee, as well as damaged her meniscus. Because of this, our poor baby is not able to use her back leg very well, mostly hopping on 3 legs to get around.

While we were hoping to avoid surgery, after multiple consults around the city we've decided it is the best bet for her future health. We're afraid that if we don't get the surgery, her right knee will go out from over compensating. Plus, we know she's in pain and we want to remedy that as soon as possible. UPenn has recommended a surgical procedure which will allow her knee to function normally again, without the constant fear it will slip out of place (which is what happens now).
The good news is that because Whiskey is young (almost 4 years old) she is forcasted to make a complete recovery !

I'm asking for your help in making this surgery happen, because Patrick and I do not have the means to do so ourselves. If you know Whiskey, you know she is one of the sweetest, most loving and happy dogs you'll ever meet. I've set the goal to the price we've been quoted by UPenn Hospital for the surgery, but absolutely anything we raise will be so helpful! No donation is too small for helping Whiskey walk normally again.

We are hoping to get the surgery in late December or early January. I know this is a time of year in which everyone has added financial strain getting ready for the holidays, but please consider donating for Whiskey. It would be the most important gift for her ever!

We will also be holding some fundraising events for her, so if you have anything to donate (vintage clothing, records, musical gear, ect) OR willing to perform at these events, that would also be so amazing and appreciated. Please contact me through email if you can help in this way.
