Whinfield Defibrillator

Story

Help Whinfield Get a Life Saving Defibrillator on Barmpton Lane We are Andy and Jamie, your local Whinfield councillors, and we are teaming up with the Whinfield Residents Association to raise funds for a public access defibrillator to be installed on Barmpton Lane, and we need your help. Defibrillators save lives. When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, every second counts. Quick access to a defibrillator can double or even triple the chances of survival. In those critical early moments, before paramedics can arrive, having a defibrillator nearby can make the difference between life and death. Right now, this part of Whinfield does not have quick access to one, and that is something we want to change. Unfortunately, the council has cancelled the Community Fund that used to be available to local councillors for important projects like this. That is why we are turning to our community instead. This is a grassroots community effort. The Whinfield Residents Association has kindly stepped up to help maintain the device once it is funded. All donations will go directly towards purchasing and installing the defibrillator and ongoing maintenance costs, including a secure weatherproof cabinet for 24-hour access. Whether you can spare five pounds or fifty, every contribution gets us closer to making Whinfield a safer place for everyone. Please share this campaign, chip in if you can, and help us bring this vital piece of equipment to our community.
