Standing With Ross Andrew
A Fight No One Chooses. A Strength Few Understand.
Ross Andrew is currently facing the fight of his life.
A cancer diagnosis changes everything in an instant.
It interrupts plans.
It shifts priorities.
It forces strength on you before you feel ready.
Cancer is relentless. It is physically exhausting. Emotionally overwhelming. Mentally draining. It impacts not just the person diagnosed, but everyone who loves them. It brings uncertainty into every day and turns ordinary moments into battles.
Ross did not choose this challenge.
But he is choosing how he faces it.
With courage.
With resilience.
With quiet determination.
Those who know Ross know his character. His loyalty. His work ethic. His heart. Now, those same qualities are being called upon in a way none of us would ever wish for.
This page has been created to support Ross and to raise funds for cancer research — because cancer touches too many lives. It does not discriminate. It does not pause. And the more we invest in research and treatment, the more hope we create for families walking this road.
In honour of Ross’s fight, Stevie, Doug White, Warren Hawke, Lesley Kidd will undertake a back-to-back endurance challenge — Trek to Everest Base Camp then straight to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Not for recognition, but to reflect — in some small way — the relentless nature of the battle Ross is facing every single day.
But this campaign is not about mountains.
It is about Ross.
It is about standing beside a man who is showing extraordinary strength in extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
If you can donate, you are contributing to research that saves lives.
If you can share, you are spreading hope.
If you can offer support, you are reminding Ross and his family that they are not alone.
Cancer is hard.
Treatment is hard.
Recovery is hard.
But no one should have to face it without a community behind them.
Let’s stand with Ross.
Let’s fight with Ross.
Would love you to support where you can if you can
Because when someone we care about is battling cancer, showing up matters.
