When Pigs Fly Fundraiser Event
Donation protected
Hi I am fundraising for a community event on Kangaroo Island called When Pigs Fly.
'When Pigs Fly,' which is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals in our community to come together, connect, build resilience, and promote community wellbeing and good mental health.
When Pigs Fly will take place from 9 until 11 of May at Frank Road, Dudley West. It is a FREE, all-ages event.
The event's purpose is three-fold:
1. Connect people in our community through live music, culture, and art by inviting schoolchildren interested in music and up-and-coming local artists to perform, as well as mainland artists, to bridge the cultural gap between Kangaroo Island and the mainland.
2. Provide local community members access to mental health outreach services.
3. Raise money to support the legacy of Byron Buick's community garden in Penneshaw.
When Pigs Fly is a 'leave no trace' event, community participation includes school children performing, showcasing local artists, local volunteers and local food and market stalls.
Camping is available onsite. We have secured in-kind sponsorship for portable toilets and generators as well as food and beverage donations for artists from local cafes and food producers.
This GoFundMe is going towards the final costs of putting on the event.
