Wheels of Hope: Lyla and Eric's Commitment

Friends and Family-

I want to start out by saying, I'm typically not one to ask for anything. This is not for me.

My daughter Lyla and I have the unique opportunity to be a part of something HUGE. In September, Lyla and I will travel to Antigua, Guatemala, and partner with Beeline Wheelchairs https://www.beelinewheelchairs.org/ to provide pediatric wheelchairs to those in the area that need us.

This has been on my bucket list for many years.

Many of you know, my career in this industry began as a pediatric ATP, working with complex children, and is still very close to my heart. I get a bit emotional thinking about this opportunity, and having my daughter by my side.

Each wheelchair through this program costs $500.00. This is extremely cheap by US comparison. (An average pediatric wheelchair in the US costs approximately $7500.00.)

I have already committed to a chair apiece for Lyla and myself and will pay for our flight, room, and board.

I work well under pressure and want to put Iowa on the map in Guatemala. I'm going for a reason and will work through the night to ensure these kids get a shot at independence.

I want YOU to go with us. I'm asking for you all to keep my ass busy while I'm there and keep my translator, (Lyla) busy. As the signs on the corner read, "anything helps." please support us on this endeavor. Thank you all!
