Wheels for Kroger John

Donation protected
Let me tell you all a bit about John B, a night stocker at Kroger.
When I picked John up in the worst of conditions he said "I have to get there because a lot of people will call off."  His managers love him and he is a dependable, hard worker. I am creating this fundraising campaign to raise enough money to get John a reliable, all weather vehicle as his job is essential. Also to reward him for his stunning dedication and work ethic (which are humbling), as well as him being an awesome human being (squeaky clean record).
Please  help us help John begin a new chapter in his life as a legal driver and vehicle owner. We are looking to present John with a reliable vehicle capable of handling the worst weather days. ❤
(John has never had a driver's license. Nobody ever taught him how to drive and his family could not afford driver's ed. Blessingsindisguise.org has voted to gift John his driver's license, start to finish, to include all fees associated with the process, a 10 hour block of Driver's Education, as well as the costs of initiating car insurance!)
Below is my original FB post about my first interaction with John B on Feb 15th:

I am NOT posting this to toot my own horn, but rather give kudos to a young man with resilience and a strong work ethic. I dropped Cindy Steltmann off at home @ 8:15 in the middle of the mini blizzard. (We had already got 5 or 6 inches, on top of the several inches yesterday) Snow fallin' hard and wind whipping, I turned off of Bancroft onto Holland Sylvania. As I got closer to Dorr (and Holland Sylvania) there was someone WALKING in a florescent vest southbound. With no one behind me, I slow down and roll the window down, "Dude! You need a ride??" He's like, "Where you going?"
I said "I live around the corner but it don't matter. Where are YOU going??" He said, "Well I'm walking to work cuz it's too bad to ride my bike. I work at Kroger in HOLLAND."
I'm like, "Dude, seriously?? Get it.
I got you bud.".....He thanked me 20 times and tried to give me the few bucks he had. I said, "Kid, you have no idea the respect I have for you right now. Let's roll through Tim Horton's, I'll buy ya a coffee so you can relax before you clock in."
This kid was walking through this crap in what would have been a miserable 2 hour walk!! I'm no hero, but he is mine!!. ❤
