Hello! We’re Emma and Becky, and we’re the proud founders of Wheelie Good Friends. We each have wonderful daughters who are wheelchair users and require a lot of care. We met through Facebook and soon realised how valuable it would be to create a safe, fun, and inclusive space where children with physical disabilities — and their families — can come together. That’s how Wheelie Good Friends was born!
Our club is for children aged 4 to 11 with physical disabilities. We aim to offer a welcoming and accessible environment where children can make new friends, enjoy fun activities, and simply be themselves — while parents and carers connect with others who truly understand.
We currently run the club once a month, with a variety of activities to suit everyone — from music therapy and adaptive sports to inclusive games, arts and crafts, and much more. As we grow, we hope to introduce dance sessions, creative workshops, and other exciting opportunities that help every child thrive.
To make these sessions possible, we’re holding a fundraiser to help cover some of the costs of activities and resources, ensuring all children can benefit from the club.
